Summary:- - 65 - - Summary The aim of my thesis is to analyze and describe the energy law in connection with the influence at the environment. Following this aim I tried to summarize the legal sources in European as well as in our legislation. This thesis is composed of four chapters, each of them is dealing with different aspects of energy sources. Chapter One describes particular energy sources as fossil fuel, energy from nuclear power and finally renewable sources of energy (hereinafter as "RES"). The aim is comparison of each energy sources as well and describing of their advantages and disadvantages. This chapter is subdivided four parts. The first three parts describe the energy sources mentioned above. Part Four describing RES is then subdivided into five subparts. Each of these subparts is focused on particular renewable sources - water, wind, solar, biomass and geothermal energy. Chapter Two examines relevant International, European and Czech legislation. This Chapter consists of three parts. Part One examines the international law related to protection of environment especially the climate protection. Part Two describes the energy policy and support of RES in European Union.
