| Summary: | v anglickém jazyce There have been several reasons for my choice of this topic. One of them is the fact that the topic is very interesting itself. As a second reason, it may be said, is the high occurence of infertility in population and also the fact that literature on this topic is not very frequent and available. I have attempted to round off information from a variety of sources into one text and thus simplify further search for necessary information. The thesis deals with current situation of infertile couples in the world. It deals mostly with the problem of origin and causes of infertility, it describes the factors that should be avoided and also when an expert should be contacted. The basics of this theses is, of course, the anatomy of reproductive organs, woman's period, the course of ovulation, tests for finding out the most fertile time, using hormones etc. Part of the thesis is thus devoted to this issue. Towards the end of the thesis, it is devoted to assisted reproductive techniques and medical examination preceding the pharmacological treatment and also with disposing of issues leading to infertility.
