Summary: | The main purpose of the thesis is a characterisation of 1,5. and the second generation of Vietnamese children and their integration to the Czech society by the example of primary schooling in Prague. Children of foreigners usually face many changes as a result of their integration process. Therefore, the project does not focus on integration and its mechanisms only, but also on its factors (economic activity of parents, the proximity of the Vietnamese community, education or language) as well as the related effects, such as health of Vietnamese children. The thesis consists of both theoretical and practical part. The former deals with a literature survey primarily. In the practical part, there are two main sources of own research: questionnaire survey and interviews. The thesis is focused just on the representative district of Prague 4 (and its representative basic school) where the majority of Vietnamese foreigners living in Prague is concentrated.
