| Summary: | The goal of this work is to focus on specific activities of the"national" language institutions. The first part is a short theoretical introduction to related problems and foreshadowing a common historical context of language planning. Thereafter the individual influences are presented in sociolinguistics and than simple and organised language management is described. Several other sentences are devoted to the micro and macro level and general features of the language management. Following the description of activities and problems which are the people in language institutions confronted at their work. Specific examples of institutions are the Czech Language Institute of the Academy of Sciences and the Language office Gramma. Interesting is the presentation of materials obtained from discussions with the employee of the language institutions. At the end of this work there is a short comparison of the mentioned language institutions with conclusion. |
