| Summary: | The diploma thesis is focused on using modern technologies in teaching. The introduction deals with position of citizenship education in current education system. Then outlines the positives and negatives of modern technologies and their position in system of teaching material resources. The diploma thesis also turns to attitudes of teachers who are daily in contact with technologies. The main part is devoted to an interactive board and its necessary accessories. It describes their specific functions, possibilities for teaching and working with an software of interactive board. It also highlights the possible negative effects of modern technologies. The practical section is a model of teaching lessons of citizenship education program for 6th class of the elementary school focusing on the theme of Motherland.
