Description
Summary:Determination of zinc and copper with use of atomic absorption spectroscopy Thesis Erika Hriňová Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis This thesis is focused on determination of zinc and copper concentration in solutions containing HBSS background. The measurement was performed on the device Shimazdu AA 7000 Series with the use of the flame atomization. Acetylene-air flame was applied. Several settings were optimized including sample adjustment, measurement conditions and methods of quantification. The standard addition method and the calibration curve method were compared in the terms of its use. There is a method created using optimized setting to measure samples from the pharmacology department. Results are used for the research of new drugs with the ability to chelate mentioned elements. Key words: Atomic absorption spectroscopy, copper, zinc
