The significant hysteresisof biological recovery behind the reversal of lake chemistryin theBohemianForest and elsewherecould have severalreasons: - Isolationofremote headwaterlakes makestheprocessofzooplankton re- colonizationstochastic,theprobability being atleastfor somecnrstacean specieslow.
