The object of this diploma thesis, with a title of ``The relationship of Jan Zábrana´s poetics to his translations of Sylvia Plath{\crqq}, is to find out to what measure the translation can change the original work; thereupon what way (if any) is the poetry and poetics of Jan Zábrana changed by the translation of Sylvia Plath. The selective Slovak translation of Mila Haugová was also considered.
