La tesi si occupa del rapporto tra il Maestro di Ozieri e la produzione figurativa in Sardegna nella prima metà del Cinquecento. Studia l'uso delle incisioni. Valuta l'influenza della pittura romana e meridionale. Riflette sulla possibile identità straniera del pittore, sulla base delle molte somiglianze con artisti tedeschi e fiamminghi. Si occupa di comprendere quali possano essere considerate le opere autografe e quali quelle eseguite da seguaci e imitatori. Riformula alla luce dei confronti stilistici e delle ricerche in archivio la personalità dell'artista e la sua collocazione cronologica. === The present doctoral thesis research focuses on the relationship between the Master of Ozieri and early 16th-century painting in Sardinia (1500-1550). We studied the use of prints and assessed the influence of Roman and southern Italian painting. We pondered on the possibility of the artist's being a foreigner native of northern Europe, given the many similarities between his and German and Flemish works. We delved into understanding which of the paintings presently attributed to him are in fact the Master of Ozieri's work, rather than his followers' and imitators'. Thus, on the basis of painting style comparisons and archives research, the Master of Ozieri's profile and placement in time has been reconsidered.
