| Summary: | In a reflective essay, the author draws upon experiences in two ongoing projects to suggest ways in which the literatures on museum-based ethnographic collaboration might be enriched and extended. One illustrative project is a binational, multi-institutional endeavor linking six museums within a larger program of cooperation led by two national scholarly societies. The other case is the work of an ethnographically oriented, museum-based public arts program working on a statewide basis in a midwestern state in the United States.
