Description
Summary:Methane catalytic combustion represents the most efficient and cleanest combustion style, while its widespread applications are restricted by the low-performance and costly catalysts. Our innovative cobalt-based catalysts, derived from anionic clays, provide efficient and affordable materials to replace the costly catalysts in combustors, for high efficiency and near-zero emission of environmental hazards (eg. NOx and VOCs). Our findings would benefit energy economy and environment protection, in particular reducing fuel consumption and mitigating climate changes and ensure energy security in medium term. Shanghai Pujing Chemical Company has contacted us to exploit such materials for flameless combustion of gaseous and liquid fuels.
