Skeletal Metastases in Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Peculiar Occurrence after Treatment and Long Term Remission

Distant metastases are characteristic for renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Metastases has been observed years after removal of the primary tumor hence the need for surveillance. The most commonly involved sites are the lungs (33-72%), intra-abdominal lymph nodes (3-35%), bone (21-25%), brain (7-13%) and...

The most commonly involved sites are the lungs (33-72%), intra-abdominal lymph nodes (3-35%), bone (21-25%), brain (7-13%) and liver (5-10%).
