Sabrina Carpenter

Carpenter in 2024 Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter (born May 11, 1999) is an American singer and actress. She first gained recognition for starring in the Disney Channel series ''Girl Meets World'' (2014–2017). She signed to Disney-owned Hollywood Records in 2013 and released her debut single, "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying", the following year. In the 2010s, she released four studio albums—''Eyes Wide Open'' (2015), ''Evolution'' (2016), ''Singular: Act I'' (2018), and ''Singular: Act II'' (2019)—to limited commercial success; the singles "Alien", "Almost Love", and "Sue Me" topped the US Dance Club Songs chart.

Carpenter signed with Island Records in 2021 and released the single "Skin" which became her first entry on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. Her fifth studio album, ''Emails I Can't Send'' (2022) was supported by the singles "Nonsense" and "Feather". In 2024, she opened for Taylor Swift at the Eras Tour, increasing her mainstream prominence. Carpenter's upcoming album, ''Short n' Sweet'' (2024), was preceded by the singles "Espresso" and "Please Please Please", both of which topped the ''Billboard'' Global 200, with the latter becoming her first number-one song on the Hot 100.

Outside of music, Carpenter has starred in the films ''Adventures in Babysitting'' (2016), ''The Hate U Give'' (2018), ''The Short History of the Long Road'' (2019), ''Clouds'' (2020), and ''Emergency'' (2022). In 2020, she played the lead role in the Broadway musical ''Mean Girls''.
