Vikram Chandra Thakur

Vikram Chandra Thakur is a geologist whose work focuses on the regional geology, tectonics and earthquake geology of the Himalaya.

Dr. Thakur is the former director of the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehradun, India. He is a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences. He is a recipient of the National Mineral Award of the Government of India (1983 – 1984), and of the Padma Shri award in 2018. Provided by Wikipedia
