Squamous papilloma in the external auditory canal

Abstract Squamous papilloma is a benign neoplasm and most commonly occurs in the oral cavity or larynx but rarely in the external auditory canal. Human papilloma virus is thought to be the cause. The effective treatment is surgical excision.
