ON SOJOURNS, LANGUAGES AND TRANSLATION IN "TRANS-ATLANTYK" BY W. GOMBROWICZ AND "NOSTROMO" BY J. CONRAD
This article addresses the questions of language, nation and literary tradition in Nostromo by Joseph Conrad and Trans-Atlanyk by Witold Gombrowicz. We intend to trace the unorthodox itinera-ries the two novels posit and their implications for national canons and translation.
