The Reverend Dr. John Luke and the Churches of Chonai
<span style="font-family: Times; font-size: medium;">Luke's unpublished journal of his visit to western Anatolia in 1669/70 lists ten churches at Chonai/Colossae, which supports the arguments of Foss for the importance of the city well into the Byzantine period.</span>
