Ischemic colitis and atrial septal aneurysm as a potential cause of systemic thromboembolism

Abstract Atrial septal aneurysm is a rare cardiac abnormality with thromboembolic potential and should be considered in a patient with ischemic colitis with no obvious risk factors.
