Starting from a bibliographic review from various academic magazines it is proposed to investigate in which extend the emotional intelligence in conjunction with the social support and the self –concept influences in the academic performance of the students in the different levels of the educational system As regards the emotional intelligence we reach divergent results, as a result of a variety of instruments used to evaluate it.
