Contained hypopharyngeal and cervical esophageal perforation masquerading as retropharyngeal abscess

Abstract It is possible to have a spontaneous hypopharyngeal and cervical esophageal perforation following yelling. We believe our case is the first study showing such an event, which can become catastrophic if not addressed in a timely manner.
