Summary:The article presents the analysis performed in a teaching practice in the area of mathematics in the second grade in an educational institution City Public Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia. Where some changes were identified in the teacher´s work from the implementation of a teaching unit based on the methodology of inquiry. The research methodology was qualitative with the design of Case Study, it allowed to describe the peculiarity of some changes in the Teaching of the research-participant teacher. The instruments implemented were: a field journal, recording, an initial interview and a final interview. The results showed that the changes were few and that the teacher continued conserving the majority aspects of the teaching model deployed before the study.
