ON ALTERNATIVE APPROACHES TO DETERMINATION OF RADIUS AND OTHER GEOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS OF NANOPARTICLES

The concept of the nanoparticle radius has been analysed and its relationship with the number of molecules (atoms) the particle consists of. A conclusion has been made that in most cases the radius of the equimolecular dividing surface can be used as an adequate measure of the particle size.
