De arribanas a teatros: espaços teatrais em São Paulo no século XIX
This paper aims to analyze the situation of theatrical spaces in São Paulo. According to Garret, Portugal did not have theaters around 1825, instead of it had cowsheds. The same absence was noticed in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in a moment which nationality occupied the center of attentions.
