Absolute Thermal-Neutron Fission Yields of U233.
The splitting of a nucleus into roughly equal parts is termed nuclear fission. Although ternary and quaternary fission events have been reported, these would be extremely rare. Usually fission implies binary fission and this meaning will apply throughout this thesis.
