In this study, we would explore and recognize the effect oflocomotion, ability of memory, forebrain total fatty acid and pathogenic ofbrain on the DDY, PLM ( poor learning mice ) and SAM-P/8 ( senescence accele- rated mice ) which ad libitum 20% Casein diets with or without (control) 0.5%NNM supplemented. The results shown that of before and after in this experi-ment, there is no difference for body weight, food intaked and locomotion. Inthose memory test,we find that 1 mo-old DDY mice which was fed 20% Casein dietsupplemented with 0.5% NNM after 4 and 8 weeks was better than ones of controldiet. 1 mo-old PLM fed by 0.5% NNM after 8 weeks was higher ( p<0.01 ) thancontrol diet miceor group. 7 mo-old SAM-P/8 fed by 0.5% NNM after 12 weekswas better than control diet mice or group. In forebrain total fatty acidstest, we find thatpolyunsaturated fatty acids of 1 mo-old PLM fed by 0.5% NNMafter 9 weeks washigher than control diet mice or group. In spontaneous spongydegeneration ofbrain, the pathological changes in SAM-P/8 are obserced thatthe major of brain stem extend to midbrain, thalamus and cerebral. In thevacuole numbers of brain, there was no difference for experiment and controldiets group. But the 7 mo-old mice was more than 1 mo-old ones. Therefore, theeffect with 20% Casein diet supplemented with 0.5% NNM was better than controldiets to increase the ability of memorization. By this result, we did not findthe clear improvement to brain total fatty acids and pathological change.According to this results and methods, we could be continuous to explore inthe further.
