Besides, after the implementation of "National Health Insurance" system, hospitals have faced more rigid competition. As a result, hospitals need to be more market-oriented and consider the use of information technology to sustain financial viability and competitive advantage. This study surveyed current situation of health care providers'' market-orientation and its applications of Internet. It explored the important dimensions of market-orientation and Internet applications. The relationships of both are also discussed. The results indicated that the important factors of marketing-orientation could be listed as below. First, "Intelligence generation," "Customers requirements," "Inter-functional coordination," "Responsiveness to customers," and "Intelligence dissemination." Second, "Information query and opinion communication," "Providing medical service," "Type of Information disseminated," and "Personnel training" are significant Internet applications factors. Third, hospital characteristics have significantly impact on market-orientation and the applications of Internet. Last, there exist obvious relationship between market-orientation and the application of Internet.
