Therefore, this research applied these factors to evaluate the candidate EC projects. In this work, a framework integrating several methodologies to translate the voice of customer (VOC) to proper engineering change (EC) project was proposed. This framework takes VOC as input, and applies the concept of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify the candidate components for EC. Then, the Design for Serviceability (DFS) was used to evaluate the sensitivity of the maintenance cost for the selected components.
