Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 教育學系在職進修碩士班 === 94 === Abstract The purpose of this research was to explore the theme ideas and characteristics of the 9-year coherent curriculum of the fields in “Art and Humanities” in junior high school, and to analyze the curriculum, the efficiency and the problems. Strategies and suggestions were generated to serve as reference for the educational administration, schools, as well as teachers in this field. Case study method in qualitative research was applied in the present study. The researcher served as the instrument, and data was collected from four participants who are teachers in the field through observation, interview, and context analysis. The following conclusions were obtained: 1. theme ideas and characteristics 1) cultivate ability instead of merely knowledge gaining; 2) provide flexible courses for school-based curriculum; 3) encourage team teaching; 4) establish curriculum evaluation system; 5) core issue centered on performance and appreciation. 2. curriculum efficiency 1) cultivate ability instead of merely knowledge gaining; 2) provide flexible courses for school-based curriculum; 3) teaching materials are chosen to meet the need of the guidelines; 4) infuse information technology in teaching; 5) adapt various teaching materials. 3. problems in proceeding the curriculum 1) problems neglected in this field; 2) ability-based curriculum in this field; 3) lack of cognition in team teaching; 4) curriculum evaluation not established; 5) teaching proceeding problems; 6) problems in performance courses. Suggestions were thus purposed: 1. For institution educational administration 1) increase arts educational budget; 2) promote arts related courses; 3) establish curriculum evaluation system; 4) encourage empirical study on team teaching. 2. For school administration 1) speed teachers in-service training and personal growth; 2) be active in offering teachers aids in any forms; 3) improve teaching facilities to enhance teaching efficiency. 3. For teachers in “Art and Humanities” field 1) be active in taking in-service training programs;2) establish diversity evaluation to cultivate students’motivation; 3) conduct action researches to solve problems in teaching; 4) collect related issues and integrating them into teaching; 5) interaction among teachers to form an atmosphere in teamwork. 4. For future researchers 1) enlarge study participants; 2) upgrade study instruments to meet the need of the study; 3) study topics are suggested to be aimed in improving curriculum and teaching efficiency.
