This study analyzes the performance of the fourth graders on making their sentences creatively. By analyzing the accuracy, the details, the vivid imagination, and the creativity of the sentences made by the fourth graders, the result of this study shows that the subjects can observe, analyze, describe, and employ the rhetoric skillfully. Also, the findings of this study indicate that the subjects lack the ability of their metaphor making, abstract thinking, and creatively thinking. The result of the study suggests that teachers should introduce students more sentence patterns and developing the habits of their creatively thinking. Furthermore, the study implies that teachers should enhance students’literature standard by using the right grammar and words. 張春榮 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 168 zh-TW
