Based on the results of the research, the author tries to present the conclusions and suggestions to the educational authorities, elementary school teachers as a reference to improve teaching. The study adopted the methods of literatures review, questionnaire survey and interview. First, the related documents were collected to research on the theory and contents of cultural responsive teaching beliefs and cultural responsive teaching behaviors. Second, the questionnaire survey method was employed. By means of the cluster sampling, 461 teachers were chosen from the elementary school in southern Taiwan (including Chiayi City and County, Tainan City and County, Kaohsiung City and County, Pingtung County). The results of the investigation were analyzed and discussed by some statistical methods, such as: mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation. Then, the interview method was applied to analyze the options and ideas of 7 elementary school teachers in cultural responsive teaching beliefs and cultural responsive teaching behaviors as compensation for the shortage of the questionnaire survey. The research findings were stated as below: 1.In the aspect of the performance, the elementary teachers’cultural responsive teaching beliefs and teachers’cultural responsive teaching behaviors was above the average. 2.In the aspect of different background variables on the performance of elementary school teachers’ cultural responsive teaching beliefs: (1)In the aspect of the performance, female teachers were no different from males. (2)In the aspect of the performance, teachers who have more service years were no different from those who have fewer service years. (3)In the aspect of the performance, different academic grade teachers have not been showing the difference . (4)In the aspect of the performance, different teachers of scale of school have not been showing the difference . (5)Teachers who teach in the Pingtung County were superior to those who teach in other areas (6)In the aspect of the performance, teachers who learn and study in curriculum about Multicultural Education were no different from those who never learn and study in curriculum about Multicultural Education. 3.In the aspect of different background variables on the performance of elementary school teachers’ cultural responsive teaching behaviors: (1)In the aspect of the performance, female teachers were no different from males. (2)In the aspect of the performance, teachers who have more service years were superior to those who have fewer service years. (3)In the aspect of the performance, different academic grade teachers have not been showing the difference . (4)In the aspect of the performance, different teachers of scale of school have not been showing the difference . (5)In the aspect of the performance, different teachers of school of area have no difference of showing. (6)In the aspect of the performance, teachers who learn and study in curriculum about Multicultural Education were superior to those who never learn and study in curriculum about Multicultural Education. 4.There were significant positive correlation between teachers’ beliefs and teachers’ behaviors, but they were not identical in inclination strength.
