Therefore, this researcher emerge the motive to study the teaching strategy of concept mapping which is suitable for my class. According to this, the purpose of this study is to examine the teaching characteristics after applying this teaching strategy to students. Further more, the researcher wants to understand the effect of teaching concept mapping to students reading comprehension. This study adopts the methods of action research. The process of the whole study concludes three stages: preparation before try teaching, try teaching, and formal teaching. After teaching and revising the teaching strategies from different teaching stages, the spiral process will reflect the purpose of this study. In this research, through the concept mapping, students could exactly sequent a story plot. They could briefly describe the story and provide a reasonable gist.
