There are two parts in this experiment. The first, two kinds of Chinese herbs, seeds of Vitex trifloia L. and seeds of Cnidium monnieri (L.)cuss. were extracted with three different kinds of solvent . The antioxidative activity between seeds of Vitex trifloia L. and seeds of Cnidium monnieri (L.)cuss. was investigated and compared. The methanol extract seeds of Vitex trifloia L. which showed strong activity were isolated and purified by Amberlite XAD-7 and high performance liquid chromatography repeatedly . The structures of the isolated components were identified by UV-Visible spectrometer(UV)、 liquid chromatography mass spectrometer (LC-MS)and NMR. The main four components from methanol extraction of seeds from Vitex trifloia L. were identified as luteolin 6-C-(6’’-O-trans-caffeoylglucoside)(VT-1)、luteolin(VT-2)、luteolin 7-O-(6’’-p-benzoylglucoside)(VT-3)and luteolin 7-O-β-sophoroside(VT-4)etc. Jeng-De Su 蘇正德 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 111 zh-TW
