Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 特殊教育學系碩士班 === 96 === The major purposes of this research are to study the Mathematical Skills and Error Patterns made by students with learning disabilities (LD) and students with nonverbal learning disabilities (NLD). On the scores of 「Elementary School Achievement Test Serials of Mathematics」 (ATSM). The findings of this research are as follows: First, the differences of 「Mathematical Skills」 between students with LD and students with NLD are below one standard on 「ATSM」. There is no difference between students with LD and students with NLD on the scores of「ATSM」 and 「the checklist of Mathematical Skills」. The scores difference are significant on the 「ATSM」 among the normal students, students with LD and students with NLD. The results show that normal students have better mathematical skills than students with LD and students with NLD; and there is no difference between students with LD and students with NLD. Second, the differences of 「Mathematics Error Patterns」 between students with LD and students with NLD are (1) students with NLD had more error patterns on「insufficient concept of Math」, especially in the unit of the commonly used unit converts (length, area, volume, volume), the round number, the angle, the score, the circle, the factor multiple ;(2) students with NLD are better on 「unable classified computation」 than students with LD.; (3) students with NLD showed less 「guessing」 than students with LD while answering the questions. Finally, the relationships among 「the checklist of Mathematics Error Patterns 」, 「the checklist of Mathematical Skills」 and 「ATSM」 by students with LD and students with NLD are discussed. 1. There is no significant correlation between 「ATSM」 and 「the checklist of Mathematical Skills」 by students with LD. However, that is, students with NLD with more skills have more plasticity to gain higher scores than students with LD. 2. There is no significant correlation between 「ATSM」 and 「the checklist of Mathematics Error Patterns」 by students with LD. On the other side for students with NLD, if they have less error patterns, they will have higher scores on 「ATSM」. 3. There is no significant correlation between「the checklist of Mathematical Skills」 and 「the checklist of Mathematics Error Patterns」 by students with LD as well. But, for students with NLD if they have more skills, then they will have less error patterns. More results and detailed analyses have given in the paper. Educational implications and further research perspective were proposed according to the results.
