It has more multiplicity to carry out the Situated Learning concept to make the E-Learning content. The purpose of this study is to develop the evaluation guidelines of the Children’s Situated E-Learning named “King of Traditional Arts”. To realize the degree of recognition, operability and learnability, the subjects of this study is divided into 4 groups, including Grade 4 students and Grade 6 students who consist of the “teaching” group and the “non-teaching” group individually. There are two primary parts in this study to evaluate the interface usability of the “King of Traditional Arts”. The first part is built the evaluation guidelines based on the expert viewpoints of heuristic evaluation with Likert scale. By the rating of Likert scale, the importance of evaluation guidelines is estimated. The second part is proceeded the usability test by the elementary school’s students. The coaching method combined with the quasi-structured questionnaire is used to record the errors and the problems of usability. In addition, the quasi-structured questionnaire is used to evaluate the satisfaction and learning performance. These results are summed up to be references for the further studies of the Children’s Situated E-Learning. The results of this study are shown as follows: 1.Three key items of the evaluation guidelines for the Children’s Situated E-Learning are listed: a.Website Content: content suitability, content attractiveness, and content completeness. b.Visual Interface: layout and frame design, color performance, role and scene, and multimedia. c.Interactive Function: navigation, feedback and assistance, operability, social interaction, and virtual community. 2.The results of the usability test by subjects show that: a.After being taught, Grade 4 students are more familiar with the use of the (website) interface. b.Grade 6 students can use the interface independently except for the recognition of the icon images. 3.The results of satisfaction performance indicate that: a.In general, students have high degree of satisfaction performance for the “King of Traditional Arts”, but teaching or not will influence the satisfaction performance of Grade 4 students and Grade 6 students. b.The “non-teaching” group shows less pleasure than the “teaching” group to keep using the website. 4.The results of learning performance indicate that: a.In general, the “teaching” group has better performance than the “non-teaching” group. b.There is no influence for Grade 4 students whether teaching or not. According to the results of this study, the researcher proposes the evaluation guidelines of the Situated E-Learning and the usability suggestions of the “King of Traditional Arts” to be references for the further betterment and development. 碩士 === 國立花蓮教育大學 === 科技藝術研究所 === 96 === With the development of technology, E-Learning model is different from traditional Computer-Assisted Learning.
The results of this study are shown as follows:
1.Three key items of the evaluation guidelines for the Children’s Situated E-Learning are listed:
a.Website Content: content suitability, content attractiveness, and content completeness.
b.Visual Interface: layout and frame design, color performance, role and scene, and multimedia.
c.Interactive Function: navigation, feedback and assistance, operability, social interaction, and virtual community.
2.The results of the usability test by subjects show that:
a.After being taught, Grade 4 students are more familiar with the use of the (website) interface.
b.Grade 6 students can use the interface independently except for the recognition of the icon images.
3.The results of satisfaction performance indicate that:
a.In general, students have high degree of satisfaction performance for the “King of Traditional Arts”, but teaching or not will influence the satisfaction performance of Grade 4 students and Grade 6 students.
b.The “non-teaching” group shows less pleasure than the “teaching” group to keep using the website.
4.The results of learning performance indicate that:
a.In general, the “teaching” group has better performance than the “non-teaching” group.
b.There is no influence for Grade 4 students whether teaching or not.
According to the results of this study, the researcher proposes the evaluation guidelines of the Situated E-Learning and the usability suggestions of the “King of Traditional Arts” to be references for the further betterment and development.
