To understand, a) the interactions and experiences of the participants; b) mentee students’ changes in reading attitudes, expression skills, and peer social skills; c) parents and cooperative teachers’ opinions on those changes; d) evaluate the challenges in the program implementation process; e) teachers’ reflections and self-growth from the program. This study used case study method. The participants were 15 kindergarteners and 15 second grade students. The author administrated a one on one peer mentoring in reading storybooks. Data were collected through observation, interviews, journal, documents and parents’ feedback questionnaires. The conclusions are as follows: first, the relationship transforms from a one-way efforts to a two-way responses. Second, the mentee students demonstrate a positive growth towards reading attitudes, expression skills, and social skills. Third, parents and cooperative teachers respond positively to the program; they encourage the program to continue. Fourth, the challenges include the supports from school administrative, cooperative teacher, and parents. The kindergarten teacher must design other plans to assist the peer-mentoring program. Finally, the program successfully enables the kindergarten teacher to obtain self-growth. Base on the conclusions, the author provides suggestions for the administration, program executor, and future researches as guidelines.
