We explored the method of content analysis to compare the distribution among the first to third themes by competence indicators in the teacher’s guide of Nan-yi, Kang-xuan, Han-lin Life Curriculum , and to evaluate the relationship and the learning objective, thus we could analyze north-south relation of competence indicators and display the situation. The main findings of this research were following: 1. The competence indicators in three various editions had great differences among the distribution of the number of times. 2. The competence indicators which were in three various editions could not provide the proper learning objectives. 3. Each competence indicator to the learning objective seemed incomplete to the content. 4. Apparently, the design of the course was laid emphasis on the cognitive domainsion, the degree of the traverse was lower. As the above conclusion, we did have some suggestions to the future survey and the selection & edition for the life curriculum textbook as below: 1. During the edition,we should pay more attention to the frequency for each competence indicator, especially on the aspect of the learning objectives and competence indicators, not only in order to reduce corresponding with curriculum development. but to enhance the connection of the traverse in competence indicator. 2. We could also explore much more related field on the life curriculum to investigate whether to add other competence indicators or learning objectives or not, or to put on the opinions and recommendation for the exploitation on the textbook; even to extend the other areas of the textbook to compare and analyze in the content, that is to make a study the most proper indicator of the children ability for the editors reference.
