However, brand manufactures may not predict customer needs accurately or their products may not become major industial standard. As a result, Taiwan’s OEM/ODM firms may incur huge loss on market sales of their new products. Therefore, Taiwan’s OEM/ODM companies should have the capability to planning new technologies to reduce the product attribute. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a methodology for evaluating and selection technologies as a strategic tool for OEM/ODM firms to help them make appropriate technology planning decision. This study defines the technology planning process and key evaluation criteria for OEM/ODM companies. Then, the proposed methodology applies QFD to connect customer needs and product technologies and intergrates AHP to evaluate and select appropriate technologies. The paper uses touch panel as an example to illustrate the proposed methodology. The results show that the developed methodology can help OEM/ODM companies connect technology selection with customer needs and enhance OEM/ODM companies’ ability in technology to avoid the selection of Product Attribute Bullwhip. 王瑞德 學位論文 ; thesis 128 zh-TW
