The moderating effects of organizational and individual traditionality on the relationships between empowerment and work outcomes are explored. A review of the key literatures on strategy process as applied to this convenience store will highlight problematic areas. As a counterpoint, the applicability of the concept Empowerment for this convenient store will be argued, and methods of operationalising research into this concept will be explored. Results of this study will show that organizational traditionalism has slightly partial influence on empowerment. Moreover, the findings were able to show important contingency factors on the process that empowerment and its influence work outcomes.
