Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 音樂學系教學碩士學位班 === 98 === Abstract The purpose of this study is to explore cooperative learning applied in the fifth grade recorder duet teaching in order to improve the students’ recorder playing ability , including “airflow controlling,” “fingering,” and “ tonguing”, as well as the ensembling. The researcher has discussed the related literatures, which comprises the theoretical basis of the study. A lesson plan was also developed in which 12 lessons have been designed. The five elements of the STAD (Student’s Team Achievement Division), namely, class instruction, group activities, group performance, group process, and group recognition are a part of the cooperative learning strategies and are the teaching model in this study. Through the action research, corrections continued to be made throughout the teaching process, and the teaching activities were developed. The purposes of this study include: 1.to discuss “cooperative learning” applied in the teaching plan implementation in recorder duet teaching; 2.to understand whether or not “cooperative learning” applied in recorder duet teaching helps improve the students’ recorder playing ability (airflow controlling, fingering, and tonguing), as well as the ensemble ability; and 3.to understand the students’ responses for cooperative learning after the recorder duet teaching was applied. Through the research instruments including the “classroom observation,” “ teaching and reflection journal,” “recorder duet playing rating scales,” and “student learning response questionnaire,” and with the “paried sample t test” as the statistical method, the students’ pre-test and post-test results for the recorder duet playing ability underwent data analysis. Based on the study results, the following conclusions are drawn: 1.The teaching model of “cooperative learning” is indeed feasible in the fifth grade recorder duet teaching. Cooperative learning can solve the plight of the inability to instruct every student due to limited time and big class size. In addition, the students’ recorder ensemble ability can be enhanced. 2.After applying the “cooperative learning” teaching model in the fifth grade recorder duet teaching, the students’ have shown remarkable improvement in terms of “airflow controlling, “fingering,” and “ tonguing,” as well as the ensemble ability. 3.Ninety percent of the students believe that the “cooperative learning” teaching model applied in the fifth grade recorder duet teaching helps in recorder learning; eighty percent of the students also believe that this teaching model is more interesting and is better able to elicit the learning interest. The students have also said that among the cooperative learning teaching models, their favorite are the group activities and group performances.
