This investigation was based on the questionnaire survey. The instruments of Preschool Teachers’ Epistemological Beliefs Scale and Teaching behaviors Scale were used in the study. Six hundred and forty-seven preschool teachers participated in the study. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, canonical correlation, and multiple stepwise regressions. The findings of this study were summarized as follows: 1. The level of preschool school teachers’ epistemological beliefs in visual art was ranked as above average. 2. The level of preschool school teachers’ teaching behaviors in visual art was ranked as above average. 3. The teachers in Kaohsiung public preschools with higher academic degree, or graduated from related departments, related certificates and training, 10-15 students per class and teaching in higher grade level performed better in teachers’ epistemological beliefs. 4. The teachers in Kaohsiung public preschools with higher academic degree, or graduated from related departments, related certificates and training, 10-15 students per class and teaching in higher grade level performed better in teachers’ teaching behaviors. 5. The correlation between preschool teachers’ epistemological beliefs and teaching behaviors was significantly positive. 6. The teachers teaching backgrounds, such as academic degree, grade level of teaching, behaviors in visual art, preschool school teachers’ personal data could be an effective predictor. 7. For teaching behaviors in visual art, preschool school teachers’ epistemological beliefs could be an effective predictor. Finally, based on the findings of this study, some suggestions for preschool teachers, preschools, educational administrative organizations, and following researchers were proposed. none 林聖曦 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 352 zh-TW |
