Description
Summary:碩士 === 東海大學 === 工業工程與經營資訊學系 === 100 === Recently, the shortage of nursing professionals is a long-standing problem and the shortage have grown trend year by year. Thus, most of researchers study the effects of job satisfaction on turnover intention. The previous study refer the turnover intention as an independent variable, however, turnover intention doesn’t means turnover behavior. We spent two years to study and trace nursing staffs from two regional hospitals in central Taiwan. We separated two nursing staff groups: turnover of nursing staff group and retention of nursing staff group. The results indicate that education level effects the nurses’ turnover and retention, less experienced nurses have higher turnover than more experienced nurses. In addition, we found three dimensions: salaries and fringe benefits; quality activities and work environment have no statistically significant difference could be found. But, it has statistically significant difference on job satisfaction, nurses who have less job satisfaction have higher turnover than who have more job satisfaction.
