Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 數理教育研究所 === 101 === The purpose of this study was to foster grade six students' ability to justify arguments with evidence through argumentation instruction. The study adopted convenience sampling (N=21) and one-group pretest-posttest design. The instructional intervention lasted seven hours. Data consisted of student responses to “Justify arguments with evidence” questionnaire and “self-reflection on argumentation learning” questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, paired-samples t test and qualitative content analysis. The results revealed that the students’ warrants were simple or only with single point of view before instructional intervention. They got significant improvements in justifying arguments with evidence after the instruction. Most of them reported that the teaching materials and methods were really helpful for them to improve the abilities to justify arguments with evidence.
