Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 教育研究所 === 102 === In the research thesis entitled “Self-Narrative”, I hope to help educators in Chinese education to find more answers to their dilemma through exploring my thirty-two years in teaching and administrative position. The autobiographical narration describes my mind’s journey from the beginning to becoming a senior teacher and a vice-principle. The self-discovery delves deep into the shaping of belief and values. I hope it can be a reference for teachers and who are participating in Chinese independent high school. The study findings are summarized as follows: 1.The principle investigator describes the education she received including her Primary Village Schooling, secondary education in the city and undergraduate years in Taiwan’s liberal education system. The thesis covers in detail the learning experiences, her married life after graduation, as well as problems faced in teaching and administrative tasks and how they were tackled. By looking back, the principle investigator reflects, reviews and puts things in perspective. It is hoped that through this life story, the experiences can be shared with teachers. 2.From an inexperienced teacher to a senior one, she shared her teaching experiences and reflections and hopes to enable new teachers to find some ways out and to strengthen their courage and passion in their teaching career. 3.The principle investigator states her personal view of the government and the Unified Exam. Certificate exams. By this, she hopes the Chinese community and educators of Chinese education will understand the purpose and principle of the double-track system. 4.The principle investigator attempts to study the Chinese education in Malaysia. Hopefully Malaysian Chinese will continue to support and protect Chinese education. With Chinese education, our culture will die off. The Chinese community must persevere in protecting the root and help the ethnic culture to flourish. 5.The principle investigator has worked under three different principals, from the traditional rote-learning approach to multimedia education. She has witnessed different administrative reforms and liberalization. In her self-narrative, she described her thoughts and views on education and administrative procedure. In accomplishing the task, she has referred to related texts for her research purposes.
