Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 體育與健康休閒學系研究所 === 102 === Purpose: This research was to explore the effects on elementary school students' attention after the groups skipping instruction which was implemented forty minutes a day, three days a week. Method: All the sixty-six fifth-grade students were divided into groups skipping rope group, walk/run group and control group with twenty-two students respectively. Chu's Attention Test were taken in those groups before the groups skipping rope instruction. After that, the groups skipping rope group received 40 minutes of training per day for 3 days per week. Exercise intensity was based on progressive policy for the trainees to reach the heart rate of 150 to 170 beats per minute for 20 minutes. The walk/run group was instructed to perform walk/run exercises of the same intensity 3 days a week. By contrast, the control group maintained their daily routines without receiving exercise instruction. A posttest was conducted on the three groups after 8 weeks. The data obtained were analyzed using mixed-design two-way ANOVA to examine whether the attentiveness of the students in the two groups were statistically different. Result: After the 8-week groups skipping rope and walk/run training interventions, the pretest and posttest Chu’s attention scores of the two groups exhibited a significant difference. Moreover, the Chu’s attention score increased after 8 weeks of groups skipping rope training and differed significantly from those of the walk/run training and control groups. Conclusion:Therefore, the groups skipping rope can effectively improve the attentiveness of elementary school students; however, the effects of the former training intervention were superior to those of the latter.
