Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 數理教育研究所 === 102 === This study explored the effects of self-designed E-Book on learning outcomes of the fifth- grade students: taking the tide and tsunami concepts as examples. The quasi experiment design was adopted in this study. The subjects were homogenous four classes of fifth grade students in Pingtung City as the research samples. 54 students from two classes in the experimental group self-learned the tide and tsunami E-Book tutorial. The other 54 students of two other classes in the control group, adopted traditional teaching. In this study "recognize the tide and tsunami learning achievement test" was as a research tool, and had been conducted the tests before and after the teaching activities. Before and after teaching and the two- way ANCOVA was carried out to analyze students’ scores of the questionnaire. Semi-structured interviews were used in the experimental group, in order to illustrate the different performance between the two groups. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. Both in E-book teaching and traditional teaching, students’ “Marine Education” learning achievement performance has improved and there were significant differences. 2. There was no significant influence on students’ learning achievement performance between different teaching methods and different ability levels of students. 3. E-Book teaching was superior to traditional teaching, and there were significant differences in students’ learning achievement of “Marine Education”. 4. In both different teaching approaches, high-level ability students’ scores in the achievement test were better than the low-level ability students’, and there were significant differences. 5. In different ability groups’ academic performance, E-Book teaching is superior to traditional teaching, and there were significant differences. Based on the results and conclusions of this research, some suggestions were provided for the institutions of education, school, teachers, and future researches.
