Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 應用數學系數學教材研發產業碩士專班 === 102 === The purpose of this study was to explore if the elementary school students in the sixth grades could enhance the effects of solving the mathematics problems by using line segments to represent the mathematics problems. The resercher designed a textbook about multiple application problems between the primary quantity and comparison value. The training courses were conducted with five sixth grade students who studied mathematics at the researcher’s cram school. After experimental teaching, they completed the examination designed by the researcher. Finally, collect the posttest data to explore the learning effects and problem-solving of the mathematics learning students. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The learning effects of learning application problems between the primary quantity and comparison value by using line segments: For the mathematics teaching of the five students, the researcher gave the five students the posttest. As a result, three students got the full points. Two students got five wrong answers each. The learning effects of the performance for the posttest were perfect. 2. The problem-solving of learning application problems between the primary quantity and comparison value by using line segments: The usage of using graphic representations strategy to solve problems was high. In the problem-solving, the ueage for the students with high achievement was higher than that for the students with low achievement. It meant that when the students dealt with the application problems like these, they would use the graphic representations to enhance the skill of problem-solving . Finally, according to the problems that the researcher found during the teaching programs, the researcher discussed the results and provided some suggestions for application and future research.
