To do this, three experiments were carried out. Experiment I used open questionnaire to investigate the the well-being of dining situation. According to the results, forty-eight well-being of dining situation were collected. Experiment II investigated the correlations between these 48 well-being of dining situations. The results showed the two factors in the well-being of dining situation are “Role” and “Atmosphere”. Forty-eight well-being of dining situations were classified into 5 groups, they are “Friends gathering”, “Friends dating”,” Sweet valentine”, “Enjoy solitude” and “Family activities”. The “Friends gathering” situation is dining and chatting with 5 to 7 friends at the lively, unfettered open space. The “Friends Dating” situation is dining with 3 to 4 friends at a restaurant with relaxed atmosphere. The “Sweet Valentine” situation is to celebrate the holiday together with lover at the restaurant with romantic atmosphere. The “Enjoy solitude” situation is dining alone at home, enjoyed their own time in their own space. The “Family activities” situation is dining with family members at home and chatting with each other. Experiment II investigated the relationship between the well-being of dining situation and the chopsticks design elements. In the “Friends gathering” situation, the chopsticks should use the flat top shape, and avoid the special shape, the body of the chopsticks doesn’t need too much deciration. In the “Friends dating” situation, the chopsticks should be made by plastic material, avoid gold-plated. In the ” Sweet valentine” situation, the chopsticks should be made by alloy material, and the peak of chopsticks doesn’t require decoration. In the “Enjoy solitude” situation, the chopsticks should use the flat top shape, and avoid the special shape.
