Methods: subjects were 20 high school rugby players randomly divided into two groups, 10 for the experimental group and 10 for the control group. Three tests were designed for the study, vertical jump, Illinois agility run, and 30m dash. All the players accepted 8-week general rugby training, and the experimental group received one period of complex training and the control group received the plyometric training. Results: 1. Vertical jump: Only the experimental group was significantly better than before, but the control group was not. 2. Illinois agility run: Both the experimental group and the control group were significantly better than before, and the experimental group was also significantly better than the control group. 3. 30m dash: Both the experimental group and control group were not significantly better than before, but the experimental group was significantly better than the control group after the training. Conclusion: after receiving 8-week training, we found that complex training could enhance the rugby players’ agility and power more than plyometric training but their speed. Hopefully, it could be used as a possible way for training rugby players in the future. Su,Fu-Jen 蘇福仁 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 41 zh-TW
