How do queues influence consumers’ decision-making when they see the waiting- line in front of stores. The study was aimed to verify the impact of waiting-line on conformity. In This study explores the mediating effect of social identity on the relationship of waiting-line and conformity. Based on the purpose of this study, the hypotheses are developed to examine. Questionnaires are used to collect data, and 288 completed questionnaires are put into analysis. Data was collected through the web-based questionnaire and the paper-and-pencil questionnaire. Statistical methods, including factor analysis, reliability tests, hierarchical regression, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) are used for further examination. According to the results of this study, the positive relationship between waiting-line and conformity, waiting-line and social identity, social identity and conformity, and the mediating effect of social identity were supported. At last, the managerial implications, limitations and the future research suggestions were introduced.
