However, with today’s rapidly changing environment, organizations’ adoption of various changes (downsizing, mergers and acquisitions) have exposed employees to environments with job insecurity. Hence, it is necessary to discuss the correlations of job insecurity, work embeddedness and job performance (task, contextual, and adaptive performance) in order to further examine the the mediating effects of job embeddedness on the relationship of job insecurity and job performance. Employees were adopted as research participants in this study. Data required was collected using the questionnaire survey method. A total of 286 questionnaire copies were received, of which 246 were valid copies. Through regression analysis, the empirical results obtained are as follows: 1. Job insecurity has a negative effect on job performance. 2. Job insecurity has a negative effect on job embeddedness. 3. Job embeddedness has a positive effect on job performance. 4. Job embeddedness has a mediation effect on the relationship of job insecurity and task performance. 5. Job embeddedness has a mediation effect on the relationship of job insecurity and contextual performance. 6. Job embeddedness has no mediation effect on the relationship of job insecurity and adaptive performance.
